Sharing Your Special Day with a Wedding Blog

Filed under: Family — bruce @ 2:08 pm

One of the nicest ways to keep friends, family and guests up-to-date with all your wedding planning or news is by having a wedding blog. No complicated web skills or experience is needed and a blog can easily be updated by your as often as you like.

You can start a free blog by making use of a number of sites who offer this service to brides and grooms at no cost. Using one of the many free wedding websites is a great way to save money as you can use the site for RSVPs, directions and a whole lot more. This type of blog is ideal for keeping people informed of the wedding and is a great way to document the entire story from your engagement to the big day itself. You can share your blog with friends located anywhere on earth, provided that they have an internet connection.

A wedding website also allows everyone to become involved in your wedding by leaving notes and comments on your blog posts and photographs. Consider adding wedding dates and events to the sidebar of the blog as this is a good way to keep folks updated on such things as the stag and bachelorette parties.

Wedding Ideas

Filed under: Family — bruce @ 1:32 am

It can be fairly easy to fall into stereotypes when it comes to you wedding since there are so many clichés that it is almost impossible not to step into something someone else has already done a million times. But even though these cliché’s are unavoidable, there are a few special tweaks that you can incorporate while not really changing anything huge about your wedding day. For example, you can actually register at a fun place where people purchase wild and wacky wedding gift ideas that will make both your lives a lot more fun after the wedding instead of the old toaster and gravy boat situation. This way, when you open your gifts, every single one will be an adventure waiting to happen and you can even extend your honeymoon period by simply playing with them. It might also be a great idea to put out a little bit of fancy wedding candy for you and all of your guests. I’m not actually daring to say that the two of you should go without a seven-layer cake that will enrich your taste buds, but a little crystallized candy or some delicious chocolate will definitely go a long way especially if it has been a long day, and it always is a long day. Do not get out of control by putting little candy hearts all over the tables or anything like that. You definitely do not want it to seem tacky at all. But some expensive Belgium or Swiss chocolates randomly placed around the reception tables as a tasty treat will be appreciated by your guests. You can also do a lot of experimenting with the wedding party favor department. Virtually almost every single wedding in America has the same exact wedding party favors like flowers or a bouquet. You can change this with some fun ideas of your own so your guests won’t be so bored that they decide that they need to start getting a little drunk just to keep themselves entertained. Mixing up the bridesmaid dresses and the groomsmen’s tuxedos might make the wedding stick out in a classy way for a long time to come. So when you are hard at work planning your wedding, it’s time to think of things that are unique to you and your partner’s tastes rather than the tastes of other people who have come before you. Have fun and make it an unforgettable night.

Suspenders

Filed under: Uncategorized, Family — bruce @ 11:04 pm

I am having a lot of trouble finding nice suspenders for men. I like my man in suspenders, I think that they look really smart, especially under a nice suit and give a really good impression somehow. I think they look smart and businesslike. The thing is that they seem to be getting less popular at the moment, at least in the area where I live and so I have had trouble getting hold of any. I have taken to looking online and have found some interesting looking leather suspenders and have also been told to see if I can get some Perry suspenders as well. These are quite different to others, so I have been told and so I am looking forward to seeing what they are like. I have been told what their website is and so I am going to take a look at them some time and decide whether I think they will be a good thing to get. I must get on and look them up really as he has a birthday coming up soon and it would be really nice to be able to surprise him with a nice new pair of suspenders.

Party Memories

Filed under: Family — bruce @ 6:22 pm

I remember when I bought myself a leather bracelet. It was rather a long time ago and I was going to a fancy dress party and I dressed up like a punk ad so I bought a leather cuff and bracelet to finish off my outfit which consisted of a black short skirt, ripped stockings, a union jack top and doctor martin boots. I cannot even remember where I bought it all from, as it was such a long time ago, probably more than five years ago now. I got some orange hair gel and although my hair was too long to be spiked up, I just put some on top to add to the look. It was good fun getting dressed up, although my husband did not think so and ended up looking very boring in a suit! He did like my outfit though and even kept the leather wrist band to hang up in his car because he thought it was cool. It was a good party with good food and great music and everyone else made the effort to dress up and the fact that it was a 30th birthday celebration and on a boat made it a very memorable event indeed.

Dresses for Girls

Filed under: Family — bruce @ 8:22 pm

Buying clothes for kids are challenging as they grow fast every year. When it comes to shop dresses for girls, you need to think about color, styles and personal preference. This happens so quickly that you may not even be prepared for an outfit not fitting. The cost of children’s clothes is expensive as well so you want to buy on sale whenever you can. A great way to buy on sale is to buy ahead. This means that when you see a girl Christmas dress on sale right after the holidays you should buy one for the next year. If so, go ahead and buy it and save yourself hundreds of dollars. Finding a first communion dress on sale is difficult because they are pretty traditional and never go out of season. But, if you do happen to see one on sale a year or so before your daughter’s special day then go ahead and buy it. There is no reason not to and by doing so you will save lots of money and end up with designer dresses your daughter will love.

Wedding Gifts

One of the most exciting parts of wedding planning is registering for all the bridal shower gifts you want. This is so much fun because you can pick out the china you want as well as your silverware. Pick out glassware and stemware as well as mixers, vacuums, lamps, comforters, sheets, towels, pillows, and everything else you can imagine! You will have so much fun choosing what you want for your wedding and then when you open the wedding party gifts you will have even more fun! There are a couple of tips, however, for you to follow when it comes to registering for wedding gifts. First of all, don’ t register for anything you don’t really want. Second of all, choose some things on the list that are affordable. Even if you don’t really want them, you can always take them back for a store credit. This way you will be able to give guests the option to buy an affordable gift rather than nothing at all and you the option of taking it back and applying the credit to something you really want. Consider these types of things little “wedding favours” you do for yourself.

Cars for Kids

Filed under: Family — bruce @ 9:49 pm
Is your child asking you for a car this Christmas? Of course, they are not asking you for a real car, but an automatic one is likely to be on their list. If you want to make your child’s dreams come true this Christmas season then consider buying your child pedal cars, trucks, or planes. There is a wide variety of pedal planes, trucks, and cars to choose from and you can even find a specific model like a Mustang or Model T if your child has specific interests. This is a fun gift for any child who loves pedal tractors, cars, trucks, planes, or the like, and you will really make their holiday with one of these under the tree. But, where will you find one that fits your budget? The first thing you need to do is evaluate your budget for this gift. Then, start searching stores and the Internet for prices. When you find one that fits your budget then be sure to evaluate shipping costs. By the time you incorporate shipping into the price it is likely you will be able to buy it in person for just as cheap. These are just a couple suggestions to help you find affordable cars for kids this Christmas.
