Raised Gardens

Filed under: Garden — bruce @ 11:38 am

There are many raised gardens you can use for your winter vegetables so all you need to do is research the types of vegetables that will grow well in your garden. Things that grow especially well in raised bed gardens during the winter months include asparagus, arugula, broccoli, bell peppers, beetroot, cabbage, chives, chicory, and many more vegetables. You should evaluate the types of vegetables you really love and the ones that will grow well in your zone during the winter months. Some people live in areas where the winters are very mild and they can grow practically anything while others live in areas that are really cold and only certain vegetables will prosper during the winter months. When you begin choosing the vegetables for your winter garden you may want to talk to other winter gardeners to see what experiences they have had and to find out any suggestions they may have for planting winter vegetables. These are just some suggestions to help with raised gardens regardless of where you live.
