The History of Microsoft Certifications

Filed under: Computers — bruce @ 2:26 pm

When Microsoft announced recently that the new generation of Microsoft Certifications had just arrived, they inevitably made one stop for a moment remembering how all started and evolved throughout history with over 10 years of certifications to date.

Ten seems to be a determined number in the new generation of certification provided by the leading Internet company than the last year, also announced the new MCA, the Microsoft training practical exam, which is graded by a board of examiners.

As no written exam, the Microsoft Certified Architect (MCA) requires at least 10 years experience in IT, and 3 years of practical experience as a network architect to apply. With this panorama, only a very few IT professionals are ready to apply for a MCA certification.

Although, Microsoft is constantly reviewing all Microsoft Certifications available since the early days when those certifications were designed to respond to the needs of companies and hiring managers for customer support in the workplace.

Among the old certifications under review, we can name some Microsoft training, such as the Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) on Microsoft SQL Server 2000, which candidates are required to pass 3 core exams and 1 elective exam to get the certification.

Other certifications, like the acclaimed MCSE Certification and MCSE training that everybody loves, is about to become a thing of the past, when a series of specialization exams and IP Professional certification tracks take its place with a new approach to qualify as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.

Most of the new Microsoft Certifications consist of 3 series and 4 credentials, providing a simpler Microsoft training, and more targeted framework for IT managers in order to validate core technical skills, architectural skills and professional skills, as true professionals in the IT industry.

Microsoft’s new certification structure will be able to guarantee a more flexible, relevant, and cost-effective way to showcase IT professionals skills and, according them, such structure will be fully implemented with the next Windows server/client version.

In the past, Microsoft certifications and Microsoft training were not as specific and targeted like they are going to be now, and either reflected the detail of what a IT certified professional could do. Certifications were part of a learning process but not originally intended to prove expertise to those who needed to measure your technical proficiency.

Contrary to the past, Microsoft has planned extensive support for those IT professional holding old certifications, making easier the transition to the new generation of certifications.

Whether MCSE training, MCSE Certification or any of the mew Microsoft certifications that may impact your career, you must be aware of these changes in Microsoft training, because update your credentials is a must in the competitive and challenging world of IT. MCSE training videos are available at training centers of many large corporations.

How do Anti Wrinkle Creams Work

Filed under: Beauty — bruce @ 12:29 pm

There are many different types of anti wrinkle cream on the market. They all use a different mixture of ingredients and some of these ingredients do seem to reduce wrinkle, while others do not do so at all. The many types of creams and lotion available from department stores, drug stores, and on the internet, contain a ingredients that have not undergone scientific research that would prove their benefit. If you are looking for a face life in a bottle, you are going to be disappointed with them.

How they work and how effect the anti-wrinkle cream is going to depend to a large degree on the active ingredients. Retinol is a vitamin A compound. It is the first antioxident to be widely used in nonprescription wrinkle creams. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals which are unstable oxygen molecules that break down skin cells and cause wrinkles. Another common ingredient is hydroxyl acids. There are several varieties and they are synthetic versions of acids derived from sugar containing fruits. They are exfoliants that remove the upper layer of old dead skin and stimulate the growth of new skin.

A good ingredient of anti-wrinkle eye creams is called coenzyme Q10. This one is a nutrient that helps regulate energy production in the cells. Copper peptides enhance wound healing. The also stimulate the production of collagen and may assist the action of antioxidants. Kinetin is a plant growth factor that may improve wrinkles. It may also be a potent antioxidant. It is unclear how it works. Even tea extracts like green tea, black tea, and oolong tea contain compounds that work as antioxidants.

Many people see anti wrinkle creams as an anti aging treatment. Although things can be done that reduce the appearance of aging, we are still growing old. The creams promote healthy skin and can help make healthy skin. There are other things that can be done to improve the overall health of the face. Avoiding excessive sunlight and avoiding smoking are two examples of this. The anti wrinkle cream does not prevent aging, but they do make the skin healthier. This is the secret to how they work. It does not matter if the product is a basic antioxidant or a defoliant. It does not matter if they have vitamins, the end result will be cleaner skin and healthy cells. It is up to the consumer to determine the value of its results?

Thirty pieces are only one hundred and seventy calories. These treats are also fairly affordable at around fourteen dollars per 51 ounce jug.

Kitchen Decorating with Elegance and Style

Filed under: Home — bruce @ 2:25 pm

You can decorate your kitchen with elegance and style all by yourself. You don’t need a home decorator to come in and do it for you and charge you hundreds or thousands of dollars. Instead, you can get some kitchen decorating ideas from the Internet or brainstorm some of your own. Once you have some ideas you will be able to start thinking of which ones you like the best as well as the options that will go best with your china dinnerware and your casual dinnerware. You must keep in mind that you want the décor to go with your everyday lifestyle, but be able to change with just a few details to elegant that will complement your Waterford crystals. For example, you might decide on a specific theme that is casual but with silver or gold chargers on the table and fine linens the décor changes to an elegant room that is fitting for your china dinnerware.
If you are on a budget then you need to make a plan. Decide what needs to be done and do as much as you can yourself. More than likely you will be able to do everything on your own, but just in case you have big plans you will be able to cut costs doing what you can on your own and just leave the hard jobs to the professionals. Painting, hanging pictures, and things of this nature should be done on your own. Carpentry work, laying tile or linoleum, and more difficult jobs should be done by a professional unless you know how to do it yourself. After you have these details covered you should start shopping. Going to discount stores will allow you to buy elegant items that have a cheaper price tag so you can get more for your money. Just remember to have a plan, a color scheme, and an idea of what you need to buy before going shopping. Otherwise, you may find something in a store that you like but that doesn’t work with your plan and you will get mixed up. So, decide if you need a wall clock, new table linens, silk plants, wall pictures, and the like and then think of the colors that you are looking for. That way when you get to a store you can just look at those specific items, buy what you need, and go home to decorate your kitchen. Not only will your kitchen end up looking beautiful, but you will have the pride of having decorated it yourself.

My First Halloween

Filed under: Family — bruce @ 11:14 pm

Kids like Halloween festivities as much as they like Easter, Christmas and birthday parties. There are many Halloween festivities from parties at schools and churches to parties at homes or in neighborhood .

The first time I heard about Halloween was from my English language teacher at ESL classroom in University of Nebraska Lincoln. He said I’m going to stay in a friend’s house ‘cause lot of kids are going to trick-and-treat for candy. He mentioned the candy is very expensive. I was under the impression that you need to have a tons of Halloween candy for trick-and-treat. A friend of mine was going bring kids to my apartment for trick-and-treat. I spent $6 for candy. Wasn’t sure about whether kids were going to like chocolates, so I bought mint pop gums.

Halloween is a lot of fun for both kids and adults. For kids, the best part of Halloween is candy, face painting and costumes. My youngest son would like to wear Superman or Batman costumes months after Halloween. The fun of Halloween will never end for kids.

Unique Gift Ideas for 50th Birthday

Filed under: Family — bruce @ 11:20 pm

It’s always hard for younger people to try and buy birthday gifts for parents or grandparents who are from a different generation. Sometimes, people skip buying presents all together because they feel awkward and that they’re afraid they’re loved ones won’t like whatever they get them. But usually, people who are around fifty years old never have the necessities that younger people take for granted like a cell phone. Older people are always saying that you don’t call them enough or they have no way to contact you. They will love this thoughtful gift and you won’t have to worry that they won’t enjoy your present.A cell phone would make it significantly easier for them to communicate with anyone they choose while they’re out and about or at work. There’s actually a plethora of phones to choose from and there will be one that will fit your budget. There are, of course, many variables to think about including cellular phone accessories, price, and what kind of plan they would actually enjoy. For example, fifty year old people may not enjoy unlimited text messaging like a teenage girl would, nor would they need a ton of minutes to chat with friends. Wireless companies such as Verizon, T-mobile, Sprint, or Cingular all have plans with different amounts of minutes all the way from sixty minutes to unlimited minutes, and everything in between.

A convenient and easy to use phone will also be an important aspect of your gift. One might consider a cheaper model just to fit your budget and the cheaper phones might also have less bells and whistles to confuse those who don’t have the same technological prowess that you possess. A Motorola RAZR or a Samsung flip phone might be the perfect fit for how much you want to spend. It just might be the perfect fit for the one family member that you can never satisfy. Plus, these phones will have cheap cell phone accessories that you can buy with the cell phone or later for their next birthday or whatever holiday is coming up. Bluetooth headsets are rather popular as are comfort grip carrying cases.

A cell phone is the perfect gift for a 50th birthday present because it will show that you really care about who you give it to. It proves that you want them to keep in touch with you. All you have left to do after you buy the perfect present is sit back and watch their smile as they unwrap it.

How to Choose a Cell Phone Plan for Kids

Filed under: Communications — bruce @ 11:19 pm

There are many things that a parent needs to consider when you are trying to decide what kind of cell phone plan to buy for your budding teenager. These considerations will probably include things like price, service, type of phone and its cellular phone accessories, and what kind of plan a teenager from maybe thirteen to seventeen years old would really want. The first thing parents usually worry about is that their child will be on the phone all the time and won’t want to complete their homework or even want to go outside. This will be easily fixed with a low minute plan. All service providers such as Cingular or T-mobile have plans ranging from sixty minutes to five hundred minutes, all the way to unlimited minutes per month. These plans range in price as well from $29.99 all the way past a hundred dollars a month. Usually, kids don’t need a plan over five hundred minutes because their social schedules should not be exceeding nine hours of talking a month. Also, most plans offered do have free nights and weekends so your kids can talk after they have finished their school work or during their days off.

In the aspect of cell phones, teenagers don’t need expensive phones, but they will hate you if you get them the generic box that “couldn’t be less cool.” So to avoid such scorn, I would recommend a cheap phone that comes with the contract that won’t cost more than a hundred dollars. Almost all wireless companies are offering the stylish RAZR from around twenty dollars at Cingular to seventy dollars at Verizon. These affordable phones are, of course, razor thin and have a variety of functions including mp3 capability, cameras, the option of a GPS system, and a variety of other options. Another advantage to getting cheaper phones like the RAZR, is the fact that you can find cheap cell phone accessories to go along with your teenager’s new phone. Carrying cases, chargers, batteries, and Bluetooth headsets are only a fraction of the price of more expensive smart phones. Stylish cases are only around ten dollars and headsets that are usually over one hundred dollars can be bought at around forty.

It’s understandable that parents would be hesitant to buy a cell phone for their kids, but it is a great tool if one gets into an emergency situation or just wants to call home to say that they’ll be late for dinner.

Review of Top 3 Smart Phones

Filed under: Communications — bruce @ 10:57 pm

Let’s start with the Samsung Blackjack. In terms of design, this phone comes in a sleek black and sports a soft touch keyboard. When trying to navigate with the key pad, it is slightly cramped and requires a smaller hand to use it effectively. The phone runs Windows Mobile 5 Smart Phone addition which is somewhat of a disappointment because you will not be able to edit any of your Microsoft Office documents, but you can view them. It also comes with Bluetooth 2.0, and is enabled for Cingular music and video. Also, it is 3g enabled so it’s great for on the go streaming movies and it will have faster download speeds. The phone also includes a 1.3 megapixel camera in the back. Right now, it is the slimmest smart phone out there. There are many Samsung Blackjack Accessories one can purchase, including blue tooth headsets made by most companies, extra long battery packs, and micro SD cards for more memory. The Blackjack is available for $199 with a 2 year contract.

Then, there’s the Cingular 8525. One advantage that it has over the Blackjack is that it runs Windows Mobile, Pocket PC Edition. This means that it will be able to manipulate Microsoft office documents. It also includes all the other features of the Samsung and it includes Wi-Fi and it also includes a touch screen. It is heavier and a little thicker, but the features are much better. Cingular 8525 accessories also include everything the Blackjack has to offer. This phone, however, is $399 with a 2 year contract from Cingular so it is a bit pricy.

Lastly, the Blackberry Pearl. It’s called the pearl because it has a ball right in the middle for easy navigation, much like the circular navigation used by ipod. This is the smallest of the smart phones out there, being almost half the length of the 8525. This phone doesn’t have Wi-Fi, or a touch screen but the price is set at a reasonable $199 after 2 year contract. Blackberry Pearl accessories include everything I have already told you about with the addition of a full sized keyboard and audio adapter.
